About us

The story of Livada

The Marković family opened Restaurant Livada in 1998 on the edge of the Osijek plain, where the fields meet the Drava river.

It all began as a small farmstead with a few tables and a single kettle. Today Livada is a gathering place for generations — from weddings and christenings to Sunday family lunches. What has never changed is our devotion to the real, home-style flavours of Slavonia.

Our kitchen team, led by chef Ivan Marković, keeps recipes passed down from generation to generation. The one seasoning we don't buy is time — the fish stew simmers slowly, the kulen matures for months, and we bake bread every morning in a wood-fired oven.
